Interesting you note that. Several weeks ago, someone posing as me and using content that I had previous sent out to the list attempted his own phishing exercise with folks on this list. I sign my messages so that you all can ensure that it indeed came from me and not someone else.
The Digest Mode messages get munged as a byproduct of the configuration by the List Administrator (which is not me). You and others are encouraged to suggest that be changed or you could subscribe to the non-digest version.
I understand your frustration, believe me.
