Show me one computer that is actually totally made in the US. There aren't any. Apple has manufacturing facilities world wide, just like all other computer manufacturers. You'll be hard pressed to find any product that's totally made in the US and that includes all it's pieces, parts and raw components. Government procurement people can't have a problem buying outside the US because RIM is a Canadian company (so is Entrust).
As for completely building an Apple computer in the US, I see no chance for that and no reason to even think about it. What would happen to all of Apple's worldwide sales? Would "foreigners" accept products built in the US instead of their country? Do they care?
I know the reason is to make sure we know what's in every component to make sure we're not being spied on but the US economy is no longer a US one, it's a world economy. Product is built all over the world (remember Toyota, BMWs, and other "foreign" cars are built in the US). This is the brave new world, welcome to it.
