Yes, I thought of the early adapter issue as I noticed that Itunes is already offering Icloud features but they're not officially supported by Apple yet. So I'm reticent to try it yet.
I just wish they'd come out with the new phone already and I hope it is significantly special. But maybe it's like dreaming you'll have another experience like first love. Nothing will match the first Iphone debut, whether you stick an "I" in front of it or not. :o)
