And if you want to go in as a "Company" and work for the Feds, as I do, good luck. We are about 1 year plus and still circling on the Apple License Agreement, who can sign it and at what level, what documents you need (you do have your articles of incorporation, no?).
It is caught in the maze of lawyers, both the Apple Lawyers (the person signing needs to have the authority to sign such an agreement but no we won't give you a copy of the agreement) and to what now is Dept. of Commerce lawyers (it has been kicked up from my lab, to my Center, to NMFS HQ, to NOAA GC to DOC GC). We have apps that will make pterabytes of environmental data available to the mobile device - development for android is going fine because we are not facing all these legal hurdles.
I understand why Apple wants agreements for certain types of endeavors, but the Fed. Government is not a private business, but the Apple lawyers want to treat it that way, and the Federal Lawyers are doing their usual number to make certain nothing happens. Perhaps the President can sign the agreement.

PS - And yes Apple Federal is aware of this and have tried to help. We actually knowing pushed this as a test case at least for DOC or NOAA to try and get some sort of definitive agreement.

The Team Agent is the one that has permission to create a deployment provisioning profile, and administer the distribution certificate and associated private key required to compile apps. These apps can only be distributed within an organization, either to specified devices (Ad Hoc Distribution), or to any device in the organization (Enterprise In-House Distribution). This program does NOT allow for delivery via the App Store. There are a number of ways you can do over-the-air delivery, and various enterprise wireless management tools that assist with managing enterprise deployments (e.g., Sybase, AirWatch, Apperian).

The Company program works essentially the same as the Enterprise program, except that it also has App Store delivery, and apps are delivered in the name of the organization instead of the person. Approval for Company and Enterprise programs needs to have a legal contact within your organization as well.

In-house deployments only need Enterprise, and yes, these apps can be deployed across an entire enterprise. There is no enterprise "app store" or an "App Store U" model currently; organizations must manage their iOS Enterprise app deployments themselves or with third party tools (see above).
