Yes, I see that the iOS Draft STIG has in fact been removed from the IASE site. Does anyone have any idea why? Any clue if/when a revised copy might surface?
Thanks,
Tony

DISA had a draft STIG on iPhone/iPads, though I can't find it on the authoritative site, so it may have been pulled. The version from 20100921 indicated:
Note 1: The use of Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) in the DoD has not been approved. These
devices should not be connected to production networks or email systems during testing.
Note2: DoD's risk assessment of iOS devices, when configured according to this draft STIG, has not yet been
completed. Readers should be aware that it is likely that the risk assessment will result in changes to one
or more policy or technical security controls defined in this draft STIG.
For those keeping OS score, we also support Blackberries. Android devices are not yet officially approved, though we're tracking ongoing developments and I expect we'll have both phones and tablets approved in some of value of "soonish."
