Greetings Shawn,
You are right. Case and point, WOWODC is another Apple Developer Conference
dedicated to one particular conference. It is community driven, and Apple
definiately has a stake in it. I know that there may be some has a
conferences out there that may be Apple IT devoted.
If we asked the IT and Science relations groups at Apple to hold a little
version of a conference, could they do it? Even combined with community
support, could they do it? You mentioned the thrid-party trainings, and
they may also be a good idea. The big idea would have a pow wow big enough
to reduce the cost of individual trainings, while at the same time making a
benefit for face time with fellow IT and science users of Apple's great
products.
