To echo what Ethan said, if its an SCR331, make sure you are using the 5.25 firmware. They still seem to ship with the 5.18 firmware, which I've seen work fine on a Windows box, but mess up on a Mac with the Gemalto cards. Test it out on a Windows machine with the latest ActiveClient to see if its a hardware issue with the reader (older versions of ActiveClient might not work right with the newer CACs).

Did you check the firmware for your reader? Older SCR models may need a firmware upgrade and some even older ones don't work at all. Check your hardware first, I can confirm that Pkard works perfect on Lion for me with SCR-331.

So I bought Pkard for my new Mac Air with Lion using my SCR card reader. The light flashed once, but nothing. The software won't recognize the card or the reader and no further lights. I've followed all of the instructions but am wondering (before I contact tech support) if something was put out on the list that I didn't see. What's getting me is that it did light up for that once second. If that didn't happen I'd just chalk it up to a messed up reader (flimsy). :o/
