It was quotes from F-Secure's chief research officer, Mikko Hypponen, that set off my Glowing Embers effort. This guy is just full of quotable lines. Below is his latest.
Now I recognize that any organization, especially large ones, can have moles, spies, disgruntled employees, and unwitting dupes who can assist in espionage, but it strikes me as strange to have a C-level executive at a large commercial security firm spouting off stuff like this.
Could US cyberspies have moles inside Microsoft?

> “It's plausible that if there is an operation under way and being run by a US intelligence agency it would make perfect sense for them to plant moles inside Microsoft to assist in pulling it off, just as they would in any other undercover operation,” he said. “It's not certain, but it would be common sense to expect they would do that.”
