For what it's worth, if it's going to be a web forum or anything web-based, it does not "add value" for me by any measure. I realize we can have religious discussions about the merits of RSS, threaded forums, etc., vs. email, but the reality is that email, including "push" traffic from lists, is a valuable and critical part of my workflow.
(For those quick to say RSS, my RSS feeds were barely manageable even with Google Reader, which itself is now going away as well. The solution offered by people who don't use RSS? Twitter and other social media. Seriously? Give me a break.)

It doesn't necessarily mean that the list is going away, it just means that it will be most likely be hosted in a new venue with new technology that adds significant value to these ongoing discussions and collaboration. Stay tuned.

Of course, that doesn't mean Apple won't pull the plug on all of them without much notice. I would hope this simply means they will be combining all of them into specific forums under their support or developer forum umbrella system.
