Greetings Boyd,
I could not agree with you more. DISA could have chosen to use a reverse
proxy similar to Apple's Mobile Access Server introduced in OSX Snow Leopard
to achieve provide the web service with security filters on the ReSTful
components themselves.
I guess they found it too much trouble, or the someone selling EWS to DISA
could not trouble themselves to read standards (such as the ones that MS
Exchange is based).
