By the way, when Apple mentioned the iWorks programs were rewritten from the ground up, that is a code word for “rebooted”, which in turn often means a lot of features will be missing at least at first. This happened with the iMove and Final Cut Pro “reboots”, and even early versions of “Mac OS 10” were missing features people in “Mac OS 9” really liked or depended on.
I rushed yesterday and paid my $20 for the new Pages (I guess if I waited until today it would have been free), and indeed a lot of things don’t work as they did before.
I’m still exploring to see if things were just moved, are done differently, or if there is a work around. Fortunately, my old Pages is still there, so I can always drop back to that one.
