If anyone is running the beta version of Yosemite *and* usually shuts down their machine at the end of the day (instead of just letting it sleep), could you do me a favor and look in the /var/audit directory to see if most files end with ".crash_recovery”. For example, from the Terminal app issue the command"
$ sudo ls -l /var/audit
Then you might have a lot of files that are named something like
20140708220705.crash_recovery
20140708224423.crash_recovery
…
20140929220417.not_terminated
current -> /var/audit/20140929220417.not_terminated
I want to know if this is unique to my machine. If others have it, I’ll spend more time on this and file a bug report.
