Van, looks like Tim called it. Short of spoofing the activation service (can that be done anymore?) it is either 8.2 or 9.0.2 for your devices.
Given the reason for the abandonment of 8.4, can't argue with the approach.
Most all apps had little or no problems under iOS 9 betas. Admittedly, I stopped running Good for "good" reasons (punny no?) but other more critical enterprise utilities functioned without issue all up to the release of 9.0.
Can you suffer through the Good glitches? Want to share the experiences? The App Store reviews are scathing but not sure how accurate, maybe spot on? Apple has stopped code-signing for 8.4.1. It is no longer possible to revert or install any 8.x version.
All new phones shipped by Apple or carriers now come with iOS 9 installed.
