So this begs the real question: have you ever had your smart phone turned off and it was still warm an hour later? (more of a problem on the wild wild west Android but possible on iPhone)

Just by the nature of working with Cocoa and iOS betas, I am frequently reprogramming my baseband but most people don’t. How often do you put your phone in DFU mode to restore it?
Food for thought.
But more to the main point, Hey Siri is only on for iPhone 6s and 6s+ when the phone is not powered as the new hardware supports Siri directly. The A9 motion coprocessor is always on and designed to be energy stingy. This allows Hey Siri to be on all the time but only on the 6s and 6s+

What is impressive is the privacy work that Apple does and it is directly related to Siri with Proactive.
