Does anyone know if the installer.app is requiring network access?
I work on an installer and have had a few reports from customers that are on a closed network (and no internet access) that my installer
is taking up to an 45 minutes to install. (normally takes 5-6 minutes). The install does complete
successfully. It seems to take a long time here: IFPKInstallElement

Systems reported on are running 10.9 and 10.10.3
I'm curious if there is anything in the Installer.app or lower level in OS that is looking for the network connection? Our installer
is signed.
I am being told that (for one particular site)
The network has all the DNS entries to get to the internet, but they have ACLs in place to stop certain subnet systems from actually getting to the internet.
If they remove those ACLs the install takes the usual amount of time to complete (10-15 minutes).
Thanks for any pointers on things to check.
