Hi, Sorry - rather OT, but I was wondering if the SonyEricsson HBH-65 headset is supported by Mac OS X. I used to have an HBH-30 which worked perfectly - but alas broke. I upgraded to an HBH-65, but it seems to not be able to be reconnected after the initial pairing. (I get the "There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. Apple AWT: Not running on AppKit Thread when expected. (src/macosx/native/apple/awt/CWindow.m - -[CWindow windowDidResignKey:] I get this message when I try to open a BT-Browser from the native part of a Java-Application. The native thread starting that IOBluetoothServiceBrowserControllerCreate is the Thread that's handling all my bluetooth stuff. JSR-82 for Linux, Windows and OSX

Hi, we have created a JSR-82 implementation for Linux, Windows and OSX that works with the BlueZ-Stack on Linux, the Stollmann-Stack on Windows (possibly Microsofts' stack in the near future) and Apples' own Bluetooth-Layer in OSX. The Linux-Version is OpenSource and can be downloaded from http://www.avetana-gmbh.de/avetana-gmbh/jsr82.xml One problem we're having with the OSX Version is that we can only access devices and services already discovered with the Apple-GUI. [IOBluetoothDevice recentDevices:0]. I'd be very happy if apple could change their policy about restricting inquiries and let the responsible programmer decide when and how often inquiries are done. Without the need for a special GUI. That problem solved would make MacOS X the premier OS to offer seamless Java-Development for Bluetooth Applications on the Desktop. Hi, Personally, I changed the design to make a BTConnection = singleton, and =20 use asynchronous calls to send data. You should wait for a OK after each command to send the next one If you set your object as the delegate for the RFCOMMChannel, = your =20 (void)rfcommChannelData:(IOBluetoothRFCOMMChannel*)rfcommChanneldata:=20 (void *)dataPointer length:(size_t)dataLength; method will be called =20 with appropriate received data each time you get something from the =20 phone. The method I use is feeding an NSMutableArray with commands I = want to =20 use, and flush it everytime I receive a return code from the phone "OK" =20= or "ERROR" I can send you my BTConnection class, it is quite easy to use, = you =20 just have to setDevice: with an NSString representation of the phone =20 address and use senString: method for each string you want to use. Nathanael, what they told you is correct, you need to add to the object that calls "selectedDevice openRFCOMMChannelSync" a method called "rfcommChannelData": (void)rfcommChannelData:(IOBluetoothRFCOMMChannel*)rfcommChannel data:(void *)dataPointer length:(size_t)dataLength; because you passed "self" as delegate in openRFCOMMChannelSync the rfcomm channel will automatically call your implementation of rfcommChannelData:data:length: everytime it gets new data. ... Still confuse about rfcomm send and receive.....

Hi everyone.. I am a student of a college in Indonesia, and I am currently doing a final task. I am a newbie in mac programming. For my final task, I want to build a bluetooth communication between my se t610 and my mac. I have built a rfcomm sync connection, but I do not how to receive the response from what I have sent. I have asked to bluetooth developer mailing list, they told me to set the callback from setdelegate: and use this function: (void)rfcommChannelData:(IOBluetoothRFCOMMChannel*)rfcommChannel data:(void *)dataPointer length:(size_t)dataLength; But I do not know how to use it both. Sounds to me like you'd just want a simple serial (RFCOMM) connection. My app uses these are they're pretty easy to setup. Bluetooth and Cocoa

Hi, I am just seeking to affirm the validity of a project idea before I start any real work. I have a Cocoa project already under development, and it will be cool to add some functionality so that it can send some simple data to a Java app on my bluetooth enabled Sony Ericsson T610. I know there is a Bluetooth framework that I can link my Cocoa app with, and I have some experience in writing Java (J2ME) apps for my phone, although I have never had any experience with developing for Bluetooth at all, either for my Mac or on the T610. The information I would like to send would just be a list of strings, and I'd like to be able to send this list of strings (only a dozen or so) to a bespoke app on my T610. I'd also like the T610 to be able to alter those strings on the phone itself, so if you wanted to change one of them from the phone you could, and when you re-sync with the desktop app it will make the appropriate changes. If anyone has any experience of this then please, I'd be so grateful if you could point me in the right direction. Many thanks to you all, - Peter PS. The Bluetooth run loop event sources are automatically added to the run loop for your app (in reality, the one that belongs to the thread that you made the first Bluetooth call on). Once you are done with your initialization code, just call either [[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] run] or CFRunLoopRun() from your main() function. Either will allow the event sources for the Bluetooth stack to run and receive the incoming data you are interested in.
