I'm developing an application in java to use my bluetooth access point so i can send data to bluetooth applications also developed by me. The problem i find is that i don't know if i have to implement the stack inicialization. If i have to do it, what are the parameters for my ibook?, and also, for a mobile telephone?. I don't have any idea. In the case of the ibook, i have a bluetooth access point connected to a usb port. I hope you may understand what i'm speaking about. With trivial modifications it can be made to list paired, recent and favorite devices as well but I didn't take it that far. I have been reading apple's on-line docs about Bluetooth Programming (Cocoa-Objective C) and I feel I need more info in order to implement a simple program for device discoverying and sending Strings from my Mobile to my G5 (some sort of Messaging Application). ii)Does any one know about some literature for programming with IOBluetooth libraries on OS X? What i do is read the reply into a global variable, and in my send method i have an if statement testing for OK, ERROR, etc, before issuing next command but the problem is that they run in the same thread so the first reply is used until the send method have finished, and that supposedly the bluetooth api can only run in the thread that called initially it..
