Hi Michael, The device name is fetched automatically on connection by Core Bluetooth. It is available in the name property on the CBPeripheral. Please see the CBPeripheral class reference. The GAP device name is not available as a characteristic. Error Reading Characteristic UUID 0x2A00

Hello, why is reading the devices name (0x2A00) causing an error? When I try to read the characteristic 0x2A00 the following error is raised: The operation couldn't be completed. I'm using the Texas Instrument CC2540. 1. I would like to understand why the device UUID has a different value when visible from different iPhone / iPad How to have an unique UUID for each BLE device ? 2.
