Thanks, I've ordered one of these. I still find it a bit frustrating that I've not been able to discover a recommended-by-Apple hardware specification for what devices are supported. Attempting to use different hardware by trial-and-error doesn't seem like an efficient way to proceed, especially since it appears that the host OS is capable of using Bluetooth 4.0 USB devices that the simulator cannot. I picked up a cheap CSR 4.0 dongle a while back. After upgrading to 10.8.2 and the latest Xcode it is now recognized by the simulator and the Bluetooth status in simulator Settings goes to 'ON.' I tried a sample app in both the iOS 5.1 and 6.0 simulators and it found the service and characteristic on my device. However, the discovery and connection time inside the simulator took more than 45 seconds. But at least it works. The dongle was around USD$12 retail at CentralComputer in San Francisco. All Bluetooth LE Apps crash with a new BLE device

Hi all, I have a new device but never connected before with my newly upgraded iPhone 4S (iOS6 GM), I found that many BLE Apps crash when connecting to this device (I used some scan Apps to see, the device name is NULL). It works with prev. connected device and the name is not "NULL". What is going wrong with my device?
