Hi So what Bluetooth Chip is in that thing? CSR, Broadcom, etc… What's shown in the OS X System Report? BTLE Security?

Hi. I'm trying to learn about BTLE security. Does the Apple API (and, if anyone knows, the Bluegiga BLE112) support "Out of Band" key exchange? That is consistent with that fact that UUID is not constant across devices or erasing device settings. Flavio, The UUID is generated by the Central when the peripheral is first connected, and can be used to uniquely identify the remote device until the user uses the "Reset All Settings" feature. Therefore, when multiple centrals connect to the same peripheral, the UUID will not be the same. As long as you connect from the same central, it will be stable over time.
