Hi Patrick, We have run simulations and found a number of advertising intervals which should work well with the iPhone, see Apple Bluetooth Guidelines. However, these numbers will only go up to 2 seconds or so. We could see if we can run some sims up to 10 seconds if that is what you are interested in. Also, will the App be in the foreground or background when you are searching for this broadcaster? We boost the scanning performance when the App is in the foreground. I am developing an iPhone app for a device acting in the broadcaster role. From the devices application domain it makes little sense to transmit a new value more often than every two minutes or so. Due to very limitted battery capacity (which is a direct result of available space) an advertising interval of at most 10 seconds is the most we can afford (i.e. any lower interval would exhaust the batteries capacity) .
How is this behaviour supported by the iPhone 4s? Is there any particular advertising interval (in 0.625ms units) that best matches this scenario?
