Hi, Our Bluetooth device's PIN defaults to 0000, but lets the user set their own PIN code if they want to. 10.6.8 brings up a PIN code screen during pairing, but 10.7 only does "simply pairing" with the Yes/No dialog box. This works if the user's PIN is still 0000, but if the user has set their own PIN, obviously, it fails. The only way for users to pair with a non-0000 PIN is to go through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, and then use the "Passcode Options" button. Is there a way for our agent to force IOBluetooth to use the PIN box so users don't have the experience of having the simple pairing fail and having to write to our help desk?
