site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: Bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com Hi Ryan in the iPhone 4.0 presentation, it was said that it will allow the use of a Bluetooth Keyboards. If your device is a keyboard or can be made to look like a keyboard, you could follow that route and send our data as fake keyboard input. Other than that, there are no signs that Apple would provide a real Bluetooth API in addition to GameKit iPhone-2-iPhone and the proprietary Made for iPhone ExternalAccessory program. Why Apple keeps Bluetooth close is obvious from the business perspective, however the fact that there are virtually no Apple-approved Bluetooth devices on the market (safe for the TomTom GPS) after more than a year since introducing it in 3.0 last March frankly puzzles me. If someone has an insight on that, please tell. Best Matthias On 26.04.2010, at 11:02, Ryan Yeo wrote:
Hi, guys,
Can I use bluethooth as input device? Even if iPhone 3.X didn't provide this scheme, how about it in iPhone 4.0? Thanks,
