HID over GATT support on iOS 5.1 and the new iPad

Hi there, I have seen a product announcement from a 3rd party that seems to imply that iOS 5.1 on the new iPad would support HID over GATT natively. If this is correct, would BLE HID over GATT devices show on the Settings -> General -> Bluetooth discovery?
