Kim, Regarding pairing rules on BLE: Normally, pairing is initiated as soon as you try to access a characteristic that requires bonding (and thus, returns an error that indicates insufficient security levels). iPhone 4S and iPod touch 5 should react similar here. The BLE peripheral requires bonded relationship with IOS device. In some case, my BLE peripheral may clear the bonded info and require "re-pair" to the IOS device.
* IPhones4s will popup the pairing window again to finish the pairing process when BLE peripheral required. * IPod Touch5 won't popup the pairing window until I press "Forget this device" in "[Setting]->[Bluetooth]".
I used the same IOS(6.0.1) version. Why have such difference? What's the pairing rules of IOS devices?
