Hello, what i'm trying to ask is; does it make a difference if my device using particular bluetooth profile (i.e. synchronization) is made by "Nokia" or "Sony-Ericsson"? As far as i understand it profiles are 'generic' and application using particular profile is responsible for providing compatibility with particular device. (i.e. field mapping in case of synchronization, etc...) The reason for my question is, i'm using Sony-Ericsson P900, and there are problem with syncing it using iSync software. Other phones from the same manufacturers sync fine every-time, without any problems. Usually re-pairing of P900 solves the issue temporarily. I'm trying to understand the issue here, my thinking is: If bluetooth profiles are hardware independent, then issue lies with iSync, not working properly with particular bluetooth profile. In that case will any updates to bluetooth (like the most recent 1.5) will not fix that issue. I tried to sync P900 and T610 (both from sony-ericsson) and used BluetoothMonitor to see what happens, one thing i have noticed is that in case of T610 connection is being initiated and stays active much longer than in P900's case where connection stays active for ~2 sec, then being dropped.
