Hi,
I'm curious about a latency I'm seeing with a BlueTooth headset

reduce that?
Are you talking about start up latency (i.e. the amount of time it takes to start playing audio)? Or are you talking about actual streaming latency (possibly causing sync issues)? If the former, that is due to the time it takes to connect to the headset. If you're regularly getting a half a second, consider yourself lucky. With sub-optimal conditions, it could take several seconds. There's no easy way around that. We could keep the connection open, but that would drain the battery on the headset when it wasn't in use. We could park the connection, but that has its own set of issues and might not really decrease the time it takes to start using the headset again due to the time needed to un-park the connection. - Eric [demime 0.98b removed an attachment of type application/pkcs7-signature which had a name of smime.p7s] _______________________________________________ bluetooth-dev mailing list | bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com Help/Unsubscribe/Archives: http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/bluetooth-dev Do not post admin requests to the list.
