I was able to successfully pair the devices (my iMac and the scanner), but the device shows as "Connected : No", whereas "Paired" is "Yes" Can anyone please let me know how to establish a connection, after pairing is done, or what am I missing to do it ? The answer depends on what software you have to communicate with the device. The barcode scanners that we've seen either have software that specifically communicates with it using the Bluetooth APIs or they have a serial port service. In the later case, you'll need to use the Bluetooth Serial Utility to create an outgoing service for the scanner and select the serial port service for it. That will create a tty that when opened will automatically open a connection to the scanner. This email sent to esb@apple.com This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
