You can select which one to use using the the "HCI Controller Selector" menu option in the Bluetooth Explorer. The GUI is a little confusing, but it does seem to work. So it does! Thankyou, I saw that option but didn't realise what it was. Thats interesting, I suppose the Explorer must be using some private API to do that. Having said that, check out my previous message to the list today and let me know if the USB dongle actually still works on 10.5.6. Uh, I haven't updated yet and I need to run some tests with my Class 1 dongle before I update to 10.5.6 if it could break things. That might be January.. What I guess I need now is some way of advising the user if they are *not* using a Class 1 dongle that they are only going to get a nominal 10m range instead of the 100m they might be expecting.
