Re: PAN Profile && Interoperability between MAC and Linux
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com User-agent: Microsoft-Entourage/11.0.0.040405 Hi Claudio, Welcome to the world of Macintosh! The best place to get started is in this folder: /Developer/Examples/Bluetooth/ It has some sample apps that show simple RFCOMM communication, as well as how to do service browsing, OBEX transfers, etc. There is no example on how to perform a device inquiry yet, but you can do that in Mac OS X 10.4 (only in the cocoa language, however, as some of the C APIs went AWOL in the 10.4 release). We encourage all development be done in Cocoa, if possible. I hope that helps get you started. Jason bubba@apple.com PS - PAN is not currently implemented/supported.
Hi folks,
I am a newbie to the MAC world. Currently I am working with Bluez(Official Linux Bluetooth Stack) community. I have just acquired a powerbook and I don't have experience with MAC Os app development.
Can anyone provide me information about Bluetooth applications and tools? Is PAN Profile supported? (or only LAN Profile is supported)
I tested some Bluetooth basic features. Where can I find more resource about Bluetooth app development for MAC OS?
My first objective is perform some interoperability tests and if possible, fix some problems related to service search/browse and device connections.
Thanks in advance, Claudio.
