5.7.6 Optional Codecs The device may also support optional codecs to maximize its usability. When both the initiating device and responding device support the same optional codec, this codec may be used instead of the mandatory codec. Currently no optional Codecs are listed as part of this specification.

So how does one use these optional codecs? Is it supported in iOS? What are the iOS handles for these?
