the idea behind the count header isn't completely clear to me
This optional header is used in Connect only. Actually, there is not much description on this header in the specification either - a server could use it for user interface aspects like displaying: Loading file 1 of 8 34 KB of 689 KB Total 34 KB of 56 KB from MyFirstFile.jpg as the Count header should be used together with a Length header (second line) and the Name and Length from Put for each file (fourth and third line). Using a Type header in Put could add an Icon to the above, too. However, I doubt there are much OBEX servers using it actually and I do not think it will fix your (wrong-applied security) issue. Actually, there should be a default OBEX Inbox and the user should be directed to this Inbox like for SMS on a mobile phone. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
