Programmatically Create Serial Port
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com I'm developing an application that will discover and pair with my Bluetooth device. Using the IOBluetoothPairingController class, I can successfully pair with the device. However, I also need to have a serial port created (the device supports the serial port profile). This does not not happen as a result of the pairing operation. I did noticed that when I use the Bluetooth Setup Assistant to pair with my device, a serial port is created. So, it appears that the Bluetooth Setup Assistant is doing more than just pairing with the device. What is it doing? How can I create the serial port from within my application? I'm currently developing on Mac OS X 10.4, but will need to support Mac OS X 10.3 as well.
