Thanks for the reply, Bubba Unfortunately, JNI requires some knowledge of the native language that the library was created in. Of which, I have very little experience. It would be nice if the JNI or JDirect3 code was already generated so that others beside myself can benefit from a Java Bluetooth interface to the module. Is a Java interface planned for sometime in the future? Or is it too early in this stage of the game to say so? Just a few questions...

1. Which protocols and profiles are supported?

We support all the major protocols - L2CAP, RFCOMM, OBEX, SDP Profiles supported include Dial-Up Networking (DUN), Serial Port, and Object Push/Exchange.

2. Can the Bluetooth device be accessed from Java, JNI, or JDirect3?

You can call pretty much anything via JNI, so you should be able to call our C API without problems... but, we have not tried it, so your mileage may vary. If you have success (or not), please let us know.

3. Are there any whitepapers, example code available anywhere?

You should be able to download the Preview SDK from the Apple ADC site; it was released last week. It covers using all the basic protocols, and has fairly extensive headerdoc. If you have questions, ask them here and we'll be glad to help. Specifications and stuff can be found at: www.bluetooth.org
