We have often had difficulty reliably getting traces with the TI sniffer - ie it misses connection events even if we explicitly enter which hardware address to watch. Sometimes a but frustrating. Anyone have any tips?

Are you aware that the TI sniffer only scans one advertising channel? That is you have a 1 in 3 chance of catching the connection event.
