JSR-82 for Linux, Windows and OSX
Hi, we have created a JSR-82 implementation for Linux, Windows and OSX that works with the BlueZ-Stack on Linux, the Stollmann-Stack on Windows (possibly Microsofts' stack in the near future) and Apples' own Bluetooth-Layer in OSX. The Linux-Version is OpenSource and can be downloaded from http://www.avetana-gmbh.de/avetana-gmbh/jsr82.xml One problem we're having with the OSX Version is that we can only access devices and services already discovered with the Apple-GUI. [IOBluetoothDevice recentDevices:0]. I'd be very happy if apple could change their policy about restricting inquiries and let the responsible programmer decide when and how often inquiries are done. Without the need for a special GUI. That problem solved would make MacOS X the premier OS to offer seamless Java-Development for Bluetooth Applications on the Desktop.
