If you are asking how to turn on Bluetooth using Bluetooth... ... this is intrinsically impossible. A Bluetooth connection exists between two Bluetooth hardware modules. If one module is not turned on, or if the OS is not listening, then no connection can be established between the two devices. If there is no connection then no communication can take place. If you are asking what other means there are besides Bluetooth that you could use to activate Bluetooth... ... it depends on the capabilities of the phone. I'm not positive, but I don't think IR is a viable option with the T637. Occasionally I've set up my 15" G4 PB to give a presentation and whipped out my SE T637 to control things only to discover the Bluetooth on the Mac is not on--so I have to go over to the Mac and turn it on. I've always wanted to turn on BT on the Mac with the T637. I've noticed that if I turn on BT on the phone and then have the phone search for a device, during the search the BT indicator on the phone shows the two arrowheads that are on during a BT connection. If no connection is made to another BT device, the arrowheads disappear. A signal to connect is sent by the phone during this time, and I wonder if the search time when the arrowheads are showing doesn't create a window of opportunity for the phone to launch a "switch" on the Mac to turn on BT if the Mac's BT isn't already on. I have a couple of Applescripts that can switch BT on and off. One goes through System Preferences; one goes through the menu bar. If BT on the Mac is on and BT on the phone is on, but they're still not connected, a brilliant person once posted on the Salling Clicker forums how to get them connected. See http:// www.salling.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2668&highlight= . I use this set-up frequently and just wonder if there's a way to use Clicker/Romeo or just the phone itself to go one step further to actually turn on the Mac's BT to begin with. http://www.freelanceforum.org/df _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
