RE: Maximum simultaneous Bluetooth connections
Just an extra bit of information about max Classic BT connections. It is true that there can only be 7 active devices in a piconet, but devices can get "parked." The park address is 8 bits. Not sure how many addresses are reserved, so 250+ devices can be parked plus 7 active. In order to communicate to a device, it is unparked then is a fully active member of the piconet. It can then be parked again if need be. As a side note, parking is more power efficient than sniff (not sure about sniff subrating). I have never actually used parking so YMMV. Ephram

Classic BT offers only 7 parallel connection even in theory. The previous thread was also with BLE. Don't recall the date when it was posted but it was this mailing list.

Thanks Etan! Just to be 100% clear this is an issue with BTLE not just classic BT?

Sergei,
There was a thread on this mailing list where streaming data over three concurrent connections already created problems. While 100 is theoretically possible, the current technology is not yet as far progressed.

Thanks for the answers. To make my question clearer: - Max # of simultaneous connections to an iOS device, e.g. iPad 4, using Bluetooth Low Energy
I understand that according to Frederik there's no theoretical maximum, I wonder if anyone has hit an actual maximum.
Thanks, Sergei
