Re: Why are Serial Ports discoverable when off?
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com User-agent: SquirrelMail/1.4.4 We see that when Bluetooth is enabled on the iMac (G5), and set to discoverable, and we have another master BT device trying to find devices to connect to (Serialio.com BlueSnap product supports such a mode) that the iMac will wake up from sleep when the other BT device attempts to connect. Don't know if this is related to this or not, but we'd be interested if anyone knows the details of why this occurs, and if there is an option to disable the 'feature'.
I'm having a strange problem with Bluetooth Serial Ports in that they are still discoverable even when they are turned off. I have to completely remove the port before it is no longer discoverable to other bluetooth devices. Is this expected behavior or should I file a bug report on it?
