Re: BT disconnect on answering a call
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: bluetooth-dev@lists.apple.com Hi James, Sorry for a late reply, I've been traveling. I'll look into this when I get back in the office. Regards, Joakim On Jun 17, 2011, at 8:43 PM, James Dotter wrote:
We're in development for a MFi project, and are using the Amp'ed BT32 bluetooth module. This application calls for a steady stream of data from the device to the phone. I discovered that when I place a phone call to the phone, which is running my app and getting data from my device, as soon as I answer the call, I get a message from the Amp'ed software lib that the BT was disconnected. When I hang up the call, I get another message that my BT is connected again.
I can understand that there might be good reason to disconnect an existing channel (if a BT headset was to be used for the phone call, e.g.) but it seems heavy-handed to disconnect when no headset is in the mix.
Has anyone had experience with this? I would like to keep my BT data stream while on the phone call.
