I would test other devices having several SPPs against your problem-device, too. Having no 0x0001 in the service search is quite unusual and might be the actual problem on your problem-device. Otherwise, if possible, use a private UUID instead of the quite generic SPP one. Nevertheless, you can file a bug report at Apple.
