It doesn't allow file transfers or Syncing via BT. First, I don't know if the phone uses BPP or HCRP, so I'm trying to vend both services and see which matches. Well, neither is found by the phone. Running a slightly modified 'Bluetooth Inquiry Example' on my MacBook I can see that the BPP and HCRP profiles I loaded on the iMac are visible via BT. And using 'Bluetooth Explorer' (the Service Class (Major) has "Rendering" checked) on the iMac, the local device info shows the info from the dictionaries also: 0x0000 = 0x00010005, 0x0001 = {<1126>}, 0x000d = {{{<0100>, 0x20},{<0012>}}}, 0x0100 = "iMacG5 HCRP Printer", 0x0004 = {{<0100>,0x1f},{<0012>}} 0x0000 = 0x00010006, 0x0001 = {<1119>,<1123>,<1118>}, 0x0354 = "NONE", 0x0100 = "iMacG5 BPP Printer", 0x0004 = {{<0100>},{<0003>,0x15},{<0008>}}, 0x0358 = "081248iMac", 0x035a = "iMacDenture", 0x000d = {{{<0100>},{<0003>,0x16},{<0008>}}}, 0x0350 = "image/jpeg,application/PDF,text/plain,text/x-vcard:2.1,text/x-vcard:3.0", 0x0352 = <0000000000000000eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee> I was unable to access the Assigned-Numbers document from Bluetooth.org so there are three questionable entries in the BPP Profile. 1. Has anyone already implemented this functionality? (don't want to reinvent the wheel) 2. Is there a way to see what SDP queries the iMac is receiving? Or is the entire list of services read by the phone and the matching (or failure to match) done on the phone itself? 3. When using Printer Setup Utility and searching for Bluetooth printers, is the Mac searching for HCRP or BPP? I have searched the list and the net but don't know what to try next.
