Well, obviously something else is wrong. The code you posted should work, but clearly there are other issues at play. It really could be anything, but rest assured, NSTableView works. I'll send you a copy off-list of a 'generic' table view controller/datasource I wrote which provides most of the available functionality of NSTableView and links it to an array.
