In the past couple of days, I've been experiencing a rather severe crash in a program that I am writing that makes use of the DiscRecording and DiscRecordingUI frameworks, and I was wondering if anyone had had any similar experiences. After assembling a simple virtual filesystem (one virtual root folder with three virtual subdirectories, each with several real sub directories), and going through the standard sequence of showing the DRBurnSetupPanel, and then the DRBurnProgressPanel, the machine hangs with the progress panel showing "Preparing data for burning". This is a complete hang (i.e. not just the window server): I cannot interact with any windows, the clock is frozen on the menu bar, any music playing in the background stops, I can't telnet or ssh into the locked box, etc., but I do not get the kernel panic message. This leaves the computer in a state where I can't really do any useful debugging, and can't seem to track down the cause. Again, if anyone has had this or a similar experience, I'd appreciate hearing about how (or if) you were able to track it down. -- http://homepage.mac.com/clarkcox3/ clarkcox3@mac.com Clark S.
