PMS 4975 LAB Values

Does anyone know the Pantone digital library LAB value for PMS 4975? I've got a draw down here (that doesn't look like the swatch in my book) with a reading of L*16.82 a*18.21 b*8.62. Also, I have a Digital SwatchBook (DTP22) that's still plugged in and still works. Do any of you know of a program that I could sample colors in. Hello everyone out there in ink-land. I wanted to share with you a website that I and a few other professional digital printmakers have been building over the past few months. However, I have found that I get more consistent results using one external device to create profiles for multiple printers. Is there Epson software that comes with it? Will third party software drive it? Does it build ICC profiles automatically and if so, what does that mean for building ICC profiles externally? One main intended use would be to keep multiple printers in calibration with each other. Does the SpectraProofer make this any more simple than if I already have an EyeOne iSis? Device Link - Recommended Software

Hi guys, it's been along time since I've emailed the Apple ColorSync list so I'll keep it relatively straight forward. <g> Can I please ask for your recommendations with regard to the best device link software available? Our main concerns are to retain solid black text and K drop shadows. If our budget can stretch to higher end products, do you guys have experience with Alwan CMYK Optimizer when reducing TAC by GCR methods and still outputting purist CMYK from original files. Is the latter a real danger area with device link profiles or will my preferred economical upgrade to ColorThink Pro v3 from v2 suffice here. CMYK to CMYK conversions will now the best option for our Litho stationery franchise company Printing.com? They do not accept files greater than 280 TIL. I hope the question does not assume an either/or choice. I assume that whatever front end is used to color manage the press rides on top of the Indigo's own calibration. In that case do a LUT generation prior to profiling and on a regular basis after that to return the Indigo as much as possible to the condition the profile is founded on. Hi Henry, No change in color gamut. Improvement will be noticed in color balance (reduced color bias/shift) and improvement in neutrals. There should be no difference because G7 calibration does not affect solids. Having said that, if the Indigo is also using ICC profiles to optimize the match to GRACoL, there will be some loss of color space because GRACoL has slightly less-saturated solid RGBs than a raw Indigo. ........................................................
