I've tried both Eye One and Eye One Strip. I will try Eye One Strip again tomorrow since I also removed the device and then re-added it back. MediaManager in Onyx 7.2.3 is still a little buggy but also at its end. I can add the device using the specific screen for that, but then later if I am editing a Media Mode, i.e. working through the steps to build the Media settings, if I then go in and look at the settings for the Spectrophotometer -even if I make no changes- if I click OK I end up with another Eye One in my device list. What I do then is delete both since it does not distinguish between the two. After deleting I then add the device back. Did I mention can of worms? At least I am now getting some better results with an averaged set of hand readings for the linearization. Now I can test some new ink limits to confirm or refute the current ink threshold. I still can not get the i1Pro to read in strip mode. It matters not if I choose strip mode or page mode in Onyx - all I get is single spot read mode
So when you choose a device to measure with, are you selecting the "Eye One" or "Eye One Strip" option?
