Thanks for at least confirming that I'm not missing something! This seems like a ridiculous omission on Epson's part. What do they think we want the spectroproofers for? Geeez.
Ken We fixed this issue today by removing the "Mac OS X Common Updater" version of the Epson driver and then installing the vanilla Driver (v 8.68) for the 9900. Bigger selection of paper types appeared immediately -- including three Epson Proofing Paper options. Annoyingly, the SpectroProofer doesn't seem to support Velvet Fine Art linearisation, which I think is a very annoying oversight on Epson's part. Also, very annoyingly, the Epson installer trashes the BasICColorDISCUS.kext while installing the printer driver and we get a warning stating that it is damaged and needs replacing. -- Martin Orpen Idea Digital Imaging Ltd
