I have been looking for a backlight for reading transmissive profiling patches with an i1Pro3 plus. I have not been able to find much in the way of recommendations in the web searches I’ve done. And in my country, there are not many stores that stock them. I have found two LED backlight pads that I’ve been able to inspect. A Kaiser slimlite plano and an Autograph A920 LX. I took some measurements with a spectrometer and SpectraShop software. Both backlights are broad spectrum. So that is good. However, I am concerned about the blue light output. One has no blue light output between 400 and 420nm and very low blue output till about 440nm. The other is a little better, but still with little or no light output between 400 and 430nm. Both have light output at just over 1000 lux. Question. I’m guessing that the no/low blue light is not good? Or does that not really matter? Is the no/low blue light output just the nature of white LED backlights? Can anyone recommend or use a particular brand and model of backlight for i1Pro3 Plus? Your help appreciated as always Thanks Peter Miles
