In basICColor display 5 you can set the path to the profiles folder either to the systems folder or to the user folder. The system folder is write protected under Lion, so you need to set the path to the user folder in the preferences (go to Advanced Settings… first). Under http://www.basiccolor.de/lion-e/ you find a selection of methods how to make the user profiles folder visible. Another tip: When selecting a monitor profile, don´t do it with the monitor control panel on a hardware-calibrated monitor. The monitor LUTs will not be loaded into the monitor hardware and thus calibration and profile will not match. basICColor display 5 lets you "Select system profile…" from the "File" menu. This will select the profile and load the hardware LUTs. Best regards, Karl Koch Am 24.01.2012 um 18:02 schrieb gariba@grbimagem.com.br:
Both NEC Spectraview (1.1.9-1…!) and the Spectraview 4 doesn't allow e to save the profiles under Lion, the first having the per user options in preferences dimmed. Same problem with BasicICC 5 demo. Would like to know how other NEC users are solving this issues… Already downgraded some macs due software incompatibility…

I am looking for a midrange monitor(about$600) to use for color correction, something similar to HP LP2475w. The latter has been on back order for a long time. Thanks you in advance. Faro ______________________________________________
