Liane, I think the question included the possibility of using a CMYK data set with a sharply reduced sampling of 4-color overprints--or perhaps any overprints with black, and whether i1P has a minimum requirement for the number of these in order to compute the profile. Any comment on this? Thanks, Mike Begin forwarded message:

Hi,
If a CMYK profile but with an empty K channel is OK, you might want to try creating and printing a CMYK chart (in your CMY print process), then measure it and set the 'Maximum K' slider in i1Profiler's Separation Settings to 0%. This creates an empty K channel (builds K with CMY only).
Kind Regards, Liane
